eco-chic dresses, t-shirts, shorts and more
Always an orglamic favorite for eco-friendly staples, Vancouver-based Nixxi doesn’t disappoint with their Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I’ve decided that I’m super into shorts this season and I love the pleated detailing of the pair shown above for a unique twist on a preppy staple. Available in linen or an organic cotton/hemp blend denim, I would love to wear these shorts with a tucked-in, cuffed white button-down shirt and gold sandals! precious eco-friendly clothing for babies and kids
Dress your little orglamic lady or dude with eco-friendly clothing from TANE Organics this summer. The luxuriously crafted pieces not only help the planet by reducing the amount of toxins in our soil and waterways, but your child benefits from not having harmful pestecides and dyes being absorbed by their skin. Luckily, this is all done in style with the company’s latest Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I’m digging the Aggie Pointelle Sleeveless Dress (shown above) and the Sweater Stripe Pullover T, but there are also great swaddle blankets that would make an excellent gift for any mom-to-be. empower women in Ghana with these handmade items
Della’s Spring Summer 2011 Collection offers beautiful designs that would make an excellent Mother’s Day gift. Designed by Los Angeles-based designer Tina Tangalakis, each piece is carefully handmade by a team of seamstresses in Hohoe, Ghana (many of them mothers themselves) giving hope to a community across the globe through the foundation of economic independance. The summertime-friendly prints are bright and bold, and the collection includes clutches, iPad cases, wallets and more. The classic hobo (shown above, and my personal favorite) and more. If you are interested in going green without sacrificing style (or your bank balance!) H&M’s new Conscious Collection is the way to go. While the blogosphere has been buzzing about this latest collection for months, the orglamic selection hit stores less than two weeks ago with rave results. Made with a wide array of eco-friendly materials including organic cotton, organic linen, recycled polyester, and Tencel, the airy shapes for women and the more structured, preppy, designs for men have captured my heart. a designer organic collection with sustainable fabrics
Always a sucker for high-fashion, I end up going back to John Patrick Organic for pieces that are effortlessly chic while tailored absolutely perfectly. I first wore one of his dresses to host the Opportunity Green business conference in 2009 with many compliments! Featured in magazines worldwide (including Vogue, Bazaar and Elle, to name a few) this orglamic designer delivers gorgeous pieces collection after collection. Using organic cottons and a variety sustainable fabrics dyed in an eco-friendly manner, you can find his clothing in major retailers such as Barney’s New York or click here to order limited pieces online.

Pants to Poverty offers a wide array of underwear for men, women and children that are both fair-trade and eco-friendly. With an assortment of organic cotton underwear, this company employs and is changing the lives of farmers and factory workers in India - click here to see the inspiring details. Men's Spring 2011 Eco Collection
Billabong continues their commitment to offering eco-friendly products with dozens of orglamic options in their Spring 2011 collection. While there are dozens of items to choose from (tanks, t-shirts, caps, etc…) my personal fave is Taj Burrow’s Platinum X Quad Stretch Boardshort. Made with Zero Gravity fabric, which blends 87% recycled polyester and 13% spandex, these shorts are the perfect eco-conscious option for catching a wave…or just dressing like you do. Click here to purchase and here to browse the entire Eco Collection.
chic organic linen pants
Just because the weather doesn’t quite feel like springtime yet, doesn’t mean we can’t prepare by shopping for the rising temps! Eileen Fisher has an Eco Collection with pieces that are just to-die-for. My favorite are the Slim Trouser with Tie Belt shown above. Made out of organic linen that meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the crisp yet relaxed cut of these ankle-length pants immediately transport me to a chic patio soiree with a glass of champagne and elderflower liquor in hand…can you tell I am dying for this new season?!
